Subscription Behavior

This page provides information about the Correction Services subscriptions obtained through NeCSClosed NovAtel e-Commerce System.

Activation Message Resend Behavior

The subscription activation message is broadcast for a period of 30 days from the specified date/time (UTC) of the activation. For the first 24 hours, the subscription activation is re-sent every hour. For the following 29 days (or the remaining days of the subscription if <30 days), the subscription activation message is sent in the rotating queue.

For renewals, the activation message will begin broadcasting 7 days prior to the start date.

Subscription Start Date

The subscription start date is the date you intend to start using the Correction Services on the receiver, not the date the subscription was purchased on NeCS.

When the subscription is purchased, the subscription start date can be set to any day within 90 days of the date of subscription purchase. If a start date is not selected when the subscription is purchased, the start date is set to the maximum of 90 days from date of purchase.

The start date can be changed in a later NeCS session as long as the subscription has not started and the new date is within the original 90 days from purchase.

For Trial subscriptions, the start date can be set to any day within 7 days from purchase date.

Renewals always start at the end of subscription that is being renewed, regardless of when the renewal is purchased.

Dispatch Channel

The dispatch channel is the communication channel used to send activation messages to the receiver. For certain APIClosed Application Programming Interface requests, the dispatch channel can be set to All or TelematicsOnly.

All

When the dispatch channel is set to All, activation messages are sent to the receiver via satellite broadcast messages (L-Band) and NTRIP.

TelematicsOnly

When the dispatch channel is set to TelematicsOnly, activation messages are sent to the receiver using an M2MClosed Machine-to-Machine interface (telematics) only.

When available, NovAtel recommends using telematics.
