Satellite ID

In binary logs, the satellite ID field is 4 bytes. The 2 lowest-order bytes, interpreted as a USHORT, are the system identifier: for instance, the PRN for GPS, or the slot for GLONASS. The 2 highest-order bytes are the frequency channel for GLONASS, interpreted as a SHORT and zero for all other systems.

In ASCII and abbreviated ASCII logs, the satellite ID field is the system identifier. If the system is GLONASS and the frequency channel is not zero, then the signed channel is appended to the system identifier. For example, slot 13, frequency channel -2 is output as 13-2.
