OEM7 receiver card installation

The following diagram shows a typical SPAN installation using an OEM7 receiver card and an IMU in an enclosure.

Complete the following steps to set up your NovAtel SPAN system.

  1. Mount the GNSS antenna.

    See Mounting the GNSS antenna for details.

  2. Mount the IMU.

    See Mount the IMU for details.

  3. Install the OEM7 receiver card.

    See Card installation overview for details.

  4. Connect the GNSS antenna to the OEM7 receiver card.

  5. Connect the IMU to the OEM7 receiver.

    See Connect the IMU to the OEM7 receiver card for details.

  6. Connect the I/O strobe signals (optional).

    See Strobes for details.

  7. Connect power to the IMU and receiver.

    Ensure an appropriately rated fuse is incorporated in the power wiring.

  8. Connect a data communication device, such as a computer, to the receiver. A data communication device is used to configure and monitor the receiver.
