Logging to a USB Stick – PwrPak7
A USB stick plugged into the PwrPak7 TRANSFER port can be used to collect logs.
NovAtel recommends using a Micro A to USB stick adapter, such as Tensility 10-00649 or equivalent, to connect a USB stick to the PwrPak7 TRANSFER port.
For information about logging to a USB stick using the PwrPak7 Log button, see Logging Using the Log Button.
A USB stick can also be used to transfer files from internal memory. For more information, refer to Transferring Files from Internal Memory to a USB Stick.
USB sticks used with the PwrPak7 must be formatted as FAT32. If the USB stick is formatted incorrectly, or corrupted, the TRANSFER LED will flash red for three seconds. To correct the issue, use a computer to reformat the USB stick as FAT32.
Before powering off the PwrPak7, using the RESET command or removing the USB stick from the PwrPak7, use the FILECONFIG command or the LOG button to close the log file and the USBSTICKEJECT command to unmount the USB stick. The TRANSFER LED turns off when the USB stick is unmounted.
NovAtel Application Suite or Manage Web are the recommended methods for configuring logging to a USB stick. Refer to the NovAtel UI Tools Documentation Portal (docs.novatel.com/Tools) for information about configuring logging using NovAtel Application Suite or Manage Web.
