OEM7 receivers provide the location of an object on the Earth for navigation or with respect to another object for tracking purposes. Positioning information typically includes a horizontal domain (latitude/longitude or easting/northing) and a vertical domain (height).
The GNSS position solutions provided by OEM7 receivers are available in a wide range of accuracies and include standalone and relative positioning options.
In Standalone positioning solutions, a single GNSS receiver operates individually or “standalone” to determine its location.
In Relative positioning, real time code or code and phase GNSS measurement corrections from a base/reference station must be transferred to the OEM7 receiver. Radio or network type communication data link equipment is required.

Single point
A single point positioning solution is available on OEM7 receivers by default. No configuration is needed to enabled this solution.
SBAS
An SBAS solution combines information from GNSS satellites with information from the regional SBAS system (e.g. WAAS, EGNOS) to provide a more accurate and integrity checked solution.
Refer to Enabling SBAS positioning for information about configuring an OEM7 receiver to provide an SBAS solution.
DGNSS
A DGNSS solution uses corrections received from a base station to provide a more accurate solution. OEM7 receivers can be configured to act as a base station (provide corrections) or a rover (receives corrections).
Refer to Transmitting and receiving corrections for information about configuring a base station or rover.
PPP
A PPP solution uses corrections from the TerraStar network to provide a more accurate solution. A subscription to TerraStar Correction Services is required to access TerraStar corrections.
Refer to Enabling Correction Services and PPP for information about configuring PPP corrections.
RTK
An RTK solution uses corrections received from a base station to provide a more accurate solution. RTK uses carrier based measurements to provide a much more accurate position than is available from DGNSS. OEM7 receivers can be configured to act as a base station (provide corrections) or a rover (receives corrections).
Refer to Transmitting and receiving corrections for information about configuring a base station or rover.
