Firmware updates

Firmware updates are firmware releases that include fixes and enhancements to receiver functionality. Firmware updates are released on the NovAtel web site as they become available. Firmware updates can be performed using NovAtel Application Suite, Manage Web, SoftLoad commands or a custom loader application. Contact NovAtel Customer Support (support.novatel@hexagon.com) for details on custom loader requirements.

Firmware downgrades

Receiver firmware can be rolled back to a previous version by downloading the previous firmware version onto the receiver. However before downgrading the firmware, perform a factory reset of the receiver using the FRESET command to ensure all saved commands have been erased.

A factory reset using the FRESET command is required before downgrading firmware. Not performing a factory reset could cause unpredictable behaviour.
